何か困ったとき、相談するのは日常的にかかわる身近な地域日本語教室や子ども食堂など地域における活動の現場です。相談を受けた側から「普段目にすることばだけれど、自分も実はよくわかっていないこともある」という声をよく耳にします。そこで、外国人相談事業や地域日本語教育支援を行ってきたCINGAが、日本の制度やことばについて知ることができる動画コンテンツを作成しました。

在留カードって何ですか？

在留カードは、３か月より長く日本に住む外国人が入管からもらう身分証明書です。
外国人のIDカードとしてとても大事なカードです。
在留カードには、名前や国籍、在留資格、在留期限、住所などが書いてあります。
在留カードは16歳以上の人はいつも持っていてください。
入管や警察の人が「見せてください」と言ったら、見せなければなりません。
入管や住んでいるまちの役所などに書類を出すときにも必要です。
住所が変わった人は、引っ越し先の役所に転入届を出して、在留カードに新しい住所を書いてもらいます。
その他の在留カードに書いてある情報が変わったときは、入管に書類を出して新しい在留カードをもらいます。

What is Residence Card?

It is an identification card issued by the Immigration Services Agency to the
foreign residents who live in Japan for over three months.
It is a very important ID card for the foreign residents.
The Residence Card shows your name, nationality, status of residence, period of stay, address, etc.
Those 16 years and over must carry their Residence Card at all times.
When an immigration officer or a police officer asks you to show it, you must do so.
It is also required when submitting documents to the Regional Immigration
Services Bureau or the municipal office where you live.
When you changed your address, you must submit a moving-in notification with the municipal office where you moved to and have the new address printed or written on your Residence Card.
When other information on your Residence Card has changed, you submit necessary documents to the Regional Immigration Services Bureau and receive a new Residence Card.
